Kanye Is the New Karl
Saturday, August 7th, 2010To place the following in context, Kanye West recently released his motion-painting inspired epic music video “POWER”. It’s quite a simple idea, and well executed in terms of getting the point across. Kanye West has embodied hubris. It could be the other way around– hubris has embodied Kanye– either way.
Followed by this, well– it’s not easy to avoid laughing at how fussy he’s gotten. And how embarrassingly powerless he is without his Persian rug with cherub imagery.
I wonder what his reaction would have been towards this as a younger, less successful, humble young man…
