Sex and Religion

Sunday, December 26th, 2010

While the simile is rough around the edges, the principle is sound.

That is a completely useless phrase: “sound principle” means nothing significant.

I just don’t like penises or religions threateningly near my throat. Like Nelson Van Alden of Boardwalk Empire? The frog-like prince of Catholic guilt? And those lovely protesters in Red Square who like to point at poor girls and call them whorish sluts. Look dudes, it’s negative feedback like that which probably makes loose woman come true.

And via some 60 pages of a monologue in Atlas Shrugged, no one should be ashamed of themselves, lest they find themselves degrading their worth in whorehouses and sobbing over silly sexual stimulations. Life’s too short to be crying in bed.

And let me state the obvious for the nay-sayers: sexuality and religion are intimately intertwined.
