I see - I guess I was just confused by the "pass the pop culture" line that heads your website.

In reference to the bold face sentence in this post: It almost seems like you're self-consciously qualifying yourself and your blog in response to blog-haters. Do you really believe that a blog's only purpose is to "bemoan" rants and raves? Don't be so self-deprecating. Translating thoughts into words publicly (written or spoken) is probably not a bad way to build rapport with friends and community. Not to mention the fact that you likely make sense of thoughts which are way too abstract and inaccessible to begin with.

Who cares if a blog is self-indulgent and pompous? Fuck the ones that don't care and embrace the ones that do. You write very eloquently and it is enjoyable reading your blogs even if I haven't heard of/don't care about some of the subjects you write about.

Maybe I'm interpreting that bold line more than it's worth and maybe you already feel this way. Or maybe you don't.

We should hang out when I get back to the states, no? I hope all's well.
